My passion for traveling started in 1998 when my father took me on a 6-day road trip from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to the Grand Canyon. His favorite saying during that trip was “we have nowhere to be and no when to be there” and we stopped at many interesting sites along the way. Armed only with our cameras and a cooler full of snacks, we documented our journey from start to finish in photographs. In 2004 I traveled to Las Vegas, in 2005 I went to California (and I’ve been back twice since), in 2006 I went to Italy for two weeks…and now I’ve been to 25 of the states in the U.S. (with a mind to get to all 50), London four amazing and wonderful times, Ireland, Paris, Aruba and Canada. I’ve seen the redwood forest, the Grand Canyon, Pompeii, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican, Niagara Falls, Stonehenge, and the Eiffel Tower – and there’s so much more I want to see!
I love to take photos and to write, and in Italy I took about 1,000 photos and about 100 pages worth of notes with a mind to write a book about my travels there. Unfortunately, I lost the photos (computer crash) and the notes (in a move) and I have always missed them and the story I wanted to tell. I have come to find through all of my travels that one of my passions is sharing them with others. Now I get to do just that, and I’m so excited about it!!
Thank you for joining me on my journey. This is all about sharing, so please leave comments or message me, I’d love to hear from you!!
With that, until next time, I bid you a fond adieu!
